I have always been a big fan of the Rolling Stones and the guitar tone of Keith Richards. His modified Tele’s with the neck position humbucker inspired me to build a few. Here is the third one I have made so far, the first two sold before could even get them up on the site.
This is a guitar geared up for rock and blues. Loaded with my shop wound shellac potted 8.4K Sweet-T bridge pickup and a custom Arcane Alnico-2 PAF humbucker, this guitar really can rock out.
The resonant swamp ash body and ’50s soft V shaped maple neck offers a nice vintage feel with great sustain. For some added tone options this has a V6 passive EQ chicken-head switch along with the standard tone control with a .022 Paper & Foil Emerson cap. Finishing touches includes a custom anodized gold pick guard and a two-tone 50’s burst in Nitro lacquer.
